About the Program:
TRUHockey Development & Leadership Program is designed to help young athletes grow on and off the ice. Through a blend of high-quality on-ice skill training, off-ice dryland training, and personal growth sessions, this program builds confident, disciplined, and resilient youth.
We focus on developing both the physical and mental tools needed to perform and thrive in sport and in life.
Who:
Middle School Program
14 – 22 Student-Athletes in Grades 6 – 8 enrolled at Central, Fairview, O.M Irwin or Ecole Centennial Schools for the 2026/27.
When:
Approximate Start – September 14th, 2026
Approximate Program End – May 26th, 2027
Even Days 2026-27 School Year (8:00am – 9:00am)
Transportation will drop students off for start or Period 2.
Schedule Released following Chinook 2026/27 Calendar
Where:
Sessions held at S3 Arena. Off-Ice Dryland and Classroom at Ecole Centennial School or Alternative Space.
Transportation provided back to school following all sessions. Parents are required to drop of equipment and pick up equipment later in the day.

Price:
Program Cost per student athlete is $3300 + GST.
Registration will work on a first come basis. Once the Program is full, there will be a waiting list for future programs if offered.

Program Overview

Welcome Apparel Package: TRUHockey T-Shirt & Shorts, Custom Jersey & Socks

78 Sessions in total consisting of on-ice, classroom and dryland sessions. Middle School Program starts third week of September and concludes end of May.

~53 On-Ice Sessions focused on Skill Development, Shooting, Decision Making, Hockey IQ and Power Skating.

~12 Personalized Classroom Sessions consisting of assignments, interactive lectures, guest speakers and group discussions to target leadership development and internal confidence building. These are life skills that benefit our athletes for years to come!

~13 Dryland Sessions in September/April/May to take place at Ecole Centennial School or Alternative Location. Designed to develop agility, balance, coordination and strength. This supports on-ice development and skating.

Experienced Instruction from the TRUHockey Development Team – combining decades of elite-level playing, coaching, and youth mentorship experience.

Confidence Coaching & Mentorship that goes beyond the program.

Team App used for program tracking and attendance.

At home workout plans. Plans change every 4 – 6 weeks and student athletes are encouraged to complete workout ~3 times per week.

Journal used for assignments and classroom sessions. Supports athlete growth and mental strength.

2 Report Calls with Parents/Guardians throughout the program (Mid-Year & 2nd Half Review).

Transportation back to school from sessions. Post session drop-off and equipment transfer will not be provided.
